We`re the class 7b from Erasmus Reinhold Gymnasium in Saalfeld/Germany.
We`re ten boys , their names are:
Benjamin Gräf, Till Rosemann, Felix Hartung, David Kagerer, Renè Liebscher, Benjamin Liebmann, Norman Pfeiffer, Erik Wachter, Kevin Heinrich and Marc Noack.
And we`re 14 girls:
Johanna Schöpe , Antje Carl , Anna Müller, Christina Trappe, Maria Engelmann, Maria Höwner, Franziska Brattke, Verena Kreuzer, Stefanie Jahn, Stefanie Frenzel, Susan Petzold, Anna-Maria Bechmann and Sarah Groß.
Our tutor is Mrs Töpfer. She`s teaching German and History.
We often help poor people, for example we made cake ourselves and then we sold it in our school. The money went to children without parents and children in Samaipata.
A few weeks ago we heard that your school needs a photo copier. So we asked some butchers if they have some pork sausages for us to fry. They gave us 300 of them.
On 12th December we sold them in the market square for 1,10 Euro each.
We told the people that the money is for a school in Nepal.
So they gave us a lot of money. We want to give you 510 Euro for your photo copier.
We think it would be nice, if our schools could write e-mails again to each other. GOODBYE

Dear Ms.Teopfer and students of Class 7b,
let me first introduce myself. I am Kesang Shrestha, 42 years of age, married and have two wonderful daughters. I am the Principal of Sambodha High School. At this moment my school is almost at the end of its winter holidays. We start school from Monday 20.Jan.2003.
I understand from Mr.Wilhelm Overkamp that you wish to start an educational correspondance to exchange imformations with my students. I appreciate your idea and assure you that you shall receive our full cooperation and response. I have already talked to the class teachers of class four and class seven.Either one of them will be taking up this programme with you. They will let me know by this Monday. Infact you will receive your first e-mail from one of them this Monday. Good luck. I have been informed just this afternoon from Mr. Mangal Maharjan that he has arrived from Germany with the Euro 550.00 that Mr.Wilhelm sent for the photo copy machine for our school. I understand you all have taken a lot of trouble to collect this money. On behalf of all my students and the staff faculty I once again thank you all very sincerely for this thoughtful act

Dear Ms.Toepfer and students of class 7b,
Firstly we'd like to thank you all for the trouble you took to coolect the donation for our photocopy machine.Our Principal hopes that the remaining sum of the required money may be ready by March 2003.
I am Anita Golay. I am the class teacher of class 4. I have children of age group 11 & 12. I have 29 children in my class (19 boys and 10 girls). Most of the are Nepalese and few are Tibetan. However some of them are Buddhists. We are now going through the Final term of our academic calendar. Towards end of the next month we will be having our final examinations.Then on 20th March we'll start with our new academic year and as students of class 5. However we can continue with this correspondence if you are still interested.
We are glad to know that we will be coming to know many things about you, your ways of life , culture and your country. We look forward.

Dear Anita Golay and pupils of glass 4.
At first we want to answer your questions:
1. Hello, Kunga, Karma and Anup. Our school calls Erasmus-Reihnhold-Gymnasium!
2. Hi, Knehm, Tenzing, Lobsang and Tsering. Our tutor group has got 24 pupils. At our school are about 630 pupils and 43 teacher.
3. Hello, Rajesh, Jansmo and Tsering. Our school lies in the middle of Germany, this part calls Thüringen.
4. Hi, Namgyal and Sherap. We´ve got a lot of subjects: mathemathics, french, russian, latin, german, english, biology, geography, history, computer technologhy, PE(physical education), Art, RE(religious education), Ethics and music.
5. Hello, Vijava. Usually we´ve got 6 or 7 lessons. Between the lessons we have Breaks, They´re 5 minutes long, there are also 2 breaks wich are 15 and 20 minutes long. Our lessons start at 7.55 and finish at 13.15 or 14.05.
6. Hi, Sonam and Nisse-in. During the year we´ve got a lot of big and little tests. one year has 2 terms, at the end of each term we get a school report.
7. Hello, Kahkpa. In Germany there are a lot of festivals for example Chrismas and Easter. There are also town-festivale and everyone celebrate his or her birthday.
